Super tier list dokkan

Super tier list dokkan DEFAULT

Article by Shuden

Introduction

This page lists the strongest UR Heroes in Dokkan Battle. These Super Cards are ranked by the following factors:

  • Performance in high difficulty content.

  • Performance as one of the main roles in Dokkan Battle (Tank, Damage or Support) while rewarding Cards that can perform well in more than one.

  • All Cards are assumed to be fully awakened, max level, max Super ATK level and Max Hidden potential at premium 4 copies level.

  • Dokkan has a lot of Cards, and some os them are outdated and far too weak to be considered, so they're excluded from the list.

  • Being able to fit many strong Teams is a factor considered here, but being in a top Team doesn't necessarily mean a Card is strong. For a better list on the strongest Teams, check the Top Teams page

Z Tier

Cards in the UR Z tier are among the absolute strongest in the game and can consistently outperform even some of the strongest LRs in Dokkan, this tier has a very high bar of entry!

S Tier

These Cards are among the strongest URs in the game and are usually the backbone of their Teams. Having a complete Skill Sets, a stellar performance and amazing versatility are some of the characteristics of this tier.

  • As the premium leader of both Movie Heroes and Fusion teams, DBS Gogeta was bound to make an impact in Dokkans meta. Gogeta has a stellar performance in any of his teams, his Buffs make him able to both tank and do Damage very well, and his trademarked “Attacks Effective Against All Types” passive effect guarantees that he will be relevant in almost all game modes. He also gets passive evasion to further help him in harder content.

  • Gogetas transformation to SSB is simple, but incredibly strong, it boosts all of his passive effects, and allows him to double stack his Super ATK Buff.

  • The 1st anniversary hero is brought back to life by his EZA, Gogeta has a massive ATK stat thanks to his EZA, and his passive is modernized for a very respectable percentage amount. Gogeta has a very versatile Leader Skill and Link Set and works well with all kinds of Super Class Cards, and even some Extreme ones. He also gets a separate ATK Buff for each Rainbow Orb he gets, making his damage a lot higher in the rounds he gets lucky.

  • His EZA also gives him a good Debuff on his Super ATK, that can be a life saver in some bosses.

  • The MvP of Universe 7 is the premium 170% ATK and HP leader for the Androids team and brings in a very resourceful kit. 17 Buffs all his allies Ki and DEF by a huge amount, which opens up some possibilities of very ATK oriented partners that will still be able to take some hits thanks to him, and 17 also gets a considerable Damage Reduction effect, making him an effective tank in clutch situations.

  • Offensive-wise, 17 has high ATK and a strong Buff when he Super ATKs, which is fairly easy considering he Buffs his own Ki and has a lot of good Ki Links to help him and others in his team. He can also Debuff enemies that are vulnerable to ATK & DEF Down. 17 is a powerful and usually needed defensive oriented Support for his teams, and is also capable of dishing out respectable Damage.

  • Goku is the premium leader for the popular Super Saiyans and the niche Planet Namek Saga teams. From the get go, he gets a very strong separately stacking passive Buff, that stack with his naturally great stats. He also gets a fairly easy to fulfill transformation condition.

  • SSJ Goku loses some DEF but gets a DEF stacking Super ATK and a conditional guard all effect to more than compensate for it. To complete his kit, Goku gets a rage mode for one turn when he is at low health. In this mode he takes no Damage and dish out a lot, making it a very clutch mechanic in hard game modes.

  • Don’t judge him by his size, because Kid Goku is among the strongest Cards in the game. Both the categories he leads - DB Saga and Youth - are deceptively powerful. Goku himself has massive stats and a very high Buff with good conditions: More HP will give you more ATK, and less will give you more DEF, and he also gets stronger every turn he shows up and gets a guaranteed critical strike.

  • Goku works wonderfully in the teams he fits in, and can do a lot of Damage in a turn thanks to his active skill triggering together with his guaranteed critical, and also offers some utility with his Super ATK stun.

  • Piccolo is the main leader of the Namekians and Worthy Rivals categories, and he has very high base stats and a great unconditional buff, on top of being a very resourceful Card capable of foreseeing enemies Super ATKs, which tremendously help clearing hard bosses. Piccolo can also heal and stack his own DEF with his Super ATK, quickly turning him into one of the most effective tanks in the game.

  • His transformation requires a Namekian ally which are sometimes hard to find, but increases his DEF potential and greatly boosts his Damage via critical hits.

A Tier

These Cards are very close to the top but have a few nitpicks that hold them back compared to Tier S. They are still great investments and will find spots in their category Teams almost all the time.

  • Caulifla might be a weird choice for being so high in the list but the reason is actually simple: she can completely evade all attacks from both Universe Survival Saga and Pure Saiyans category enemies, these two categories together include almost half the cast of Dokkan Battle. Being completely invulnerable to so many cards make her a really amazing tank, but she’s actually more than that as she gets regular evasion with more Peppy Gals allies, a respectable stat line with her own self Buffs, and a stacking ATK and DEF on Super ATK.
  • The last Namekian Warrior Nail is a very strong Namekians team sub leader, with a Piccolo ally, his already high DEF stat gets an insane Buff, and his Damage becomes very respectable, but against a Wicked Bloodline enemy Nail becomes a killing machine as he gets both guaranteed criticals and an additional Super ATK every turn. He can also stack ATK and DEF on Super ATKs, making for a very complete kit for one of the strongest Namekians in Dokkan.

Dokkan Battle Tier List - 2020 Edition

Why not read this up to get a leg up in the game?

With thousands of units in the game, it’s overwhelming to know who to throw in your team to beef it up, which is why tier lists are great: they give you an idea of where you stand and where you should aim to be. This tier list will go in descending order from best to worst considering units from the global version as of July 2020. Because there are many categories, types, and classes to cover, this tier list will balance type and class as much as possible so as to paint a broader picture of the units in the game.

A little disclaimer before we start. Bear in mind that as one gets specific about types, classes, and categories, lists will definitely change, meaning that this is not the “end all, be all” of tier lists and should instead be treated more like a compass meant to help you understand what makes or breaks characters. Lastly, team synergy is just as important as the individual characters, their stats and skills alone matter little when paired with teammates they share little in common; on the other hand, seemingly “okay” cards can do wonders in the right team, so keep this in mind as you play.

Without further ado, here is your 2020 general tier list for DBZ Dokkan Battle.

1. Ultimate and Supreme Fusion Gogeta (S Tier)

Like his Dokkan fest counterpart, Gogeta is naturally very well-rounded and gets stronger as the fight drags on. He will rarely struggle for ki while hitting consistently hard thanks to his passive ability. He will excel in a STR or Fusion team, but will make an excellent addition to several other teams.

Couple him with PHY Vegito Blue for one of the best 1-2 punches in the game.

As one of two core leaders for Goku’s family and being able to double as a Super AGL lead, this Goku covers a lot of units in the game and allows for plenty of mixing and matching in team-building. He is an amazing damage-dealer and can tank hits pretty well after a few turns, making him useful for all kinds of events. • Debuffs opponents defense
  • Great Extreme class-based linkset

Cons

  • Only fits in 2 categories
  • Additional attack boost must be reactivated every 4 turns

24. Pinnacle of Fury Goku (A Tier)

Although the super saiyan form is known in the series for the increased offensive output, this Goku serves best as a defender. Don’t get me wrong, he can certainly deal damage, but his defense is what makes him exceptional as he can make the difference between life and death thanks to his rage skill and stacking DEF.

Pros

  • Great defensive unit thanks to infinite stacking upon transformation and chance to guard against all attacks
  • Rage mode makes him invincible, allowing for riskless damage
  • Excellent Saiyans linkset
  • Dual category leader
  • Can be put in a team with AGL LR SS Goku, who has a greater damage output.

Cons

  • Fast-paced events may keep him from transforming or using his active skill

As one of the best Extreme class leaders, he allows you to create a wide variety of teams. Moreover, he has a linkset and supportive abilities that make him an ideal teammate to other Extreme units. You will find him most useful when used within his class as the leader and/or main support.

Pros

  • Amazing support for Extreme class units
  • Great linkset
  • Decent damage output

Cons

  • Restricted leader skill
  • Falls short defensively

26. Boiling Power Super Saiyan Goku (A Tier)

Thanks to his leader skill, Goku allows players to make many kinds of teams and can be used as a substitute for Super AGL. Pros

  • Flexible leader skill
  • Good damage output
  • Modest linkset

  • Takes many turns toreach his final transformation

27. Foe Elimination Circuit Android #13 (A Tier)

A very well-rounded unit ready to fight hard from the beginning, #13 can only grow stronger as the fight draws on. Although it seems he was created for the Legendary Battle event against Goku, he is useful in various events thanks to his reliable passives and SA effects. Be sure to throw him into an Androids or Target: Goku team for the best results.

Pros

  • Guaranteed hits make him super useful against certain foes
  • Supports other Android units well

LR TIER LIST SEPTEMBER 2021! THE WORST 25! Global DBZ Dokkan Battle

With hundreds of available units across the Dragonball universe, it can be tough knowing which ones to groom in DBZ Dokkan Battle.

To ease the potential hassle, we’ve decided to create our definitive rankings for the essential units in the game.

For streamlining purposes, we ranked only the UR and LR units. We feel that these are the units that are viable for the endgame content. Since there’s a huge gap in power between the categories, each category will have its separate tier list.

Now with that out of the way, let’s dive right in.

Dokkan super tier list

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle tier list - The best characters ranked

Unrivaled Saiyan's Peak Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta

You can argue that this guy is on the same tier as ‘Apex of Supreme Saiyan Power Super Saiyan 4 Goku’ and you would have a very good argument for it. On the other hand, I believe that SSJ4 Goku is a bit better because of his categories. He starts with a better DEF than Goku but he only gains DEF on his 18 Ki. He's super good on a Giant Ape Power team. He should always be on the same rotation with SSJ4 Goku.

Fused Super Power Super Saiyan Goku & Super Saiyan Vegeta

One of the 3rd-anniversary units as this card was released back in 2018. Still to this day a pretty solid card with great links. Full HP recovers on the 6th turn once they transform, 30% ATK boost to allies during Super attack, plus counters is just very good.

Mark of Almighty Power Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rose)

I might have put this one a bit higher than what some people would like for sure. I admit I’m biased when it comes to this card because it happens to be one of my favourites, so bear with me. Offensively this unit is a beast. His passive is crazy, can do like 7-9m damage. Yeah, his defense isn’t the best and if he gets hit before his Super Attack it can be a problem.

Nightmarish Impact Super Saiyan Broly

The only problem with this guy (one of my favourite cards) is his defence really. Kind of similar to Rose in that sense. Make no mistake though, this guy is an offensive monster, can dish out a ton of damage. Just have to wait 4 turns.

Galaxy-Threatening Invasion Full Power Boujack

Think for a second that this card was released back in 2017 in Japan (2018 in Global) and he's still amazing even to this day. He benefited greatly from the ‘Link Level Update’ for sure. The one thing that he was lacking for a long time was a support partner and now he has it in STR Boujack. The main problem is that outside of that, he doesn’t really link up with anyone otherwise he would be much higher on the list.

Legend Reborn Super Saiyan God Goku

He’s meant to be played in a specific team to get the most out of his passive.(Pure Saiyans, Hybrid Saiyans). High evasion chances, critical hit chances and very good stats overall. He does fall off after 7 turns ( it doesn’t matter for short events) otherwise he would be higher on the list.

Fused Fighting Force Super Saiyan Goku (Angel) & Super Saiyan Vegeta (Angel)

The other 3rd anniversary unit on this tier. Pretty much the same things that have been said about Super Vegeto apply to this one. Full heal once they fuse as Gogeta, attacks effective against all types. Not as good as super Vegeto but at the same ballpark.

A New Life on Vampa Broly & Cheelai & Lemo

As a standalone unit, this Trio is amazing. Can dish out millions of damage or whatever else you want, but there’s a problem. In Dokkan you need a team and the Trio doesn’t really have one. The addition of ‘All-Out War of Universe 7 Android #17‘ will help him out, but until then can’t put them any higher.

Miraculous Outcome Goku & Frieza

Now for the experienced Dokkan players who are reading this, don’t go crazy. I will remind you once again that this is about the Global version in its current state. That means this unit hasn’t received its Extreme-Z Awakening (EZA) yet. Once it does it will be placed on the top of the list. The only problem at the moment (pre-EZA) is, there’s a good chance they die before they can do anything since they have no defence. Once they attack and they get their buffs it’s a totally different story.

Indestructible Saiyan Evil Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

If this unit can survive and start stacking up ATK and DEF he’s amazing. The problem is, if he can’t do that, he will probably die as he has no real defence.

The Androids' Journey Androids #17 & #18/Android #16

As most top tier Android units in Dokkan, the Trio is also very, very good support for their team (even though they give no DEF support). That’s until they transform to 16 and start doing some pretty good damage. 200% multiplier and crit chances. Very solid unit, overall.
