Roblox is a fun service to use, but if you don’t play it anymore, you might want to completely delete your account. Roblox doesn’t make it easy, so you have to take some extra steps. Here’s how to do it.
Ask Nicely to Have Your Roblox Account Deleted
Roblox does not provide an automated way to delete your Roblox account. Instead, you’ll have to contact Roblox customer support by using the company’s online support form in a web browser and ask them to delete your account.
To get to Roblox’s online support form, open your browser and visit this link. Fill in your account name and details. Unfortunately, Roblox does not provide an exact issue choice for deleting your account, so we’ll pick the next closest thing. In the help category, select “Billing & Payments.” Under that, select “Cancel Membership.”
In the “Description of issue” area, write a polite message, such as “Please delete my account completely,” then click “Submit.”
According to Roblox’s support website, a customer service representative will contact you and attempt to verify your identity before deleting your account, so you may need to wait a few days to have the issue completely resolved.
How to Cancel Your Roblox Membership
If you just want to cancel your recurring Roblox membership instead of deleting your account completely, that’s much easier to do. First, log in to the Roblox website, then click on the gear in the upper-right corner of the page. In the menu that pops up, select “Settings.”
On the “My Settings” page, click “Billing” in the sidebar, and then click “Cancel Renewal.” Follow the subsequent steps to have your recurring membership canceled. Good luck!

How To Edit Your About Tab In Roblox
Last Updated: February 15, 2021
Do you want to change how other users see your profile on Roblox? Or do you want to add a simple message or introduction for all the visitors? Either way, we’re here to help you. We’ll teach you how to edit the blurb on the About section of your Roblox profile. Whether you’re using a computer or mobile device, we got you covered.
Roblox is an online gaming and game creation platform that allows its users to play games created by its community of players. Anyone can also develop their games on the app through their Studio.
A lot of people download Roblox to play games from the app’s extensive catalog with their friends. As such, the platform allows you to add friends, visit their profiles, and chat with them while in-game.
With that in mind, you can change how other users see you on Roblox. You can customize your profile, display your favorite games, and show your achievements. You can even add a blurb, message, or introduction for all the visitors.
How to edit the blurb on your About section on Roblox
If you want your Roblox friends to know more things about you, you can choose to display a message on the About section of your profile page. You can add a short introduction, a quote, your hobbies, or anything you like.
Since Roblox is available on your computer or mobile device, we’ll teach you how to do it from both.
On your computer:
- Using your favorite web browser, visit Roblox and sign-in to your account.
- At the top right corner of the page, click the gear icon and select Settings.
- Head to the Account Info tab and look for the “Personal” section. Type any message, description, or anything about you on the field.
You can type anything you want within the 1000 character limit. However, Roblox recommends not displaying anything that can identify you outside of the platform.
- Click the Save button under the Theme options to apply the changes to your profile.
Although you can use your mobile web browser to change your profile settings, using the Roblox Android app is much more convenient. If you’re not familiar with navigating its features, don’t worry, we got you covered.
- Launch the Roblox app from your home screen or app drawer and proceed to sign-in with your account.
- At the bottom of your screen, navigate to the “More” tab and open your Settings.
- Among the options available, tap Account Info.
- On the field under the Personal section, type the message you want to display on your profile.
- To apply all the changes, tap the Save button on the same section.
If you’re playing Roblox on your iPhone, you can also follow the steps above. The Android and iOS version of the app doesn’t have many differences when changing your profile settings.
Other sections on your Roblox About tab
Aside from adding a blur or message for everyone that visits your account, you can also customize the other parts of your profile. Check our list of sections available on your About tab and a quick introduction to each one.
- Currently Wearing: This section displays the current appearance of your Roblox avatar. You can choose to view it in 3D or 2D.
- Social Links: If you’re 13 years old or older, you can link your social network accounts like Facebook and Twitter to Roblox.
- Friends: A list of up to 9 of your friends.
- Collections: A list of items you purchased on the platform. Although this section displays your recent purchases by default, you can choose what you want to show.
- Groups: This shows all the groups you joined on the platform.
- Roblox and Player badges: A proof of your accomplishments on Roblox.
That’s pretty much everything on the About section of your Roblox profile. To view the changes to your profile, you can open it from the menu.
To sum it all up
Now that you know everything in the About section of your Roblox profile, you can proceed to change it the way you want. You can choose to add a short message, display your badges, customize your current avatar, and many more.
After updating and customizing your About tab, you can visit your profile by tapping your username on the home screen or access it from the menu. Everything displayed on the page is also visible to other users that visit your profile.
That’s all we have on our guide about editing your About section on Roblox. For the latest tips, tricks, and tutorials, click the bookmark button, and don’t forget to visit us regularly for our daily posts and updates.

If your kids love to play online games, one of the names you may be hearing about a lot lately is Roblox.
Launched in 2006, Roblox’s popularity among gamers 8-years-old and up has exploded, and it is now one of the top online entertainment platforms for kids and teens, according to comScore. But Roblox isn’t actually a game. It’s a platform that allows anyone to create their own online games by using its game design tool known as Roblox Studio. In a way, Roblox is similar to YouTube – it gives people the tools to create digital content and a place to share and enjoy content from others.
Entertainment Platform for Play
Roblox games are social, multiplayer experiences. In fact, Roblox could be your child’s first experience with digital socializing. Players can comment and converse with other players inside a game and also chat with their friends on Roblox. Parents can turn off Roblox’s social features (see the sidebar “Roblox’s Social Features.” Roblox also has a parent’s guide at corp.roblox.com/parents).
While Roblox’s social features can create some anxiety for parents, the social aspect of Roblox can also provide an opportunity for parents to help kids develop good digital habits that will last a lifetime. That’s important, considering that — at some point — your child is likely to use other social networking platforms that don’t offer parental controls.
Getting Started with Roblox
Kids register for Roblox with their birth date. It’s important for kids to enter their correct birth date because Roblox has default security and privacy settings that vary, based on a player’s age.
All Roblox games feature security and privacy measures. User-uploaded images are reviewed by human moderators for inappropriate content before being posted. Players age 13 and older can see and say more words and phrases than younger players, but inappropriate chat and sharing personal information (including phone numbers and addresses) are blocked regardless of age. Links to YouTube channels and some social media usernames can be shared by players 13 and older.
While the imagery on Roblox has a blocky, digitized look, parents should be aware that some of the user-generated games on Roblox may include themes and/or imagery that may be too intense for young players.
Creators aren’t required to place a rating or warning on their games, but users and parents can restrict the games available for play by enabling Account Restrictions.
Stay nearby – to start. We recommend kids (especially younger ones) play with you or another trusted adult nearby when they’re first starting out. You’ll want to see what kind of games they’re playing, how they’re playing (sportsmanship matters online, too) and with whom they’re interacting.
Community rules. Review Roblox’s Community Rules with your child, especially the “guiding principles” which are easy to understand.
Blocking and reporting. Roblox’s human and digital moderators can’t police every player and game, so it also relies on reports from its users when people break the rules.
Blocking in-game (Note: These steps may vary based on the device):
- Find the user inside of the leaderboard on the upper-right of the game screen (if the leaderboard isn’t there, open it by clicking on your username in the upper-right corner).
- Click on the player you wish to block. Select Block Player.
Blocking on the website or mobile app:
- Visit the player’s profile.
- Click the three dots in the upper right corner.
- Select Block Player.
- Click on the Menu button, located at the upper-left corner of the screen (the Menu icon looks like three lines stacked on top of each other).
- Click the flag icon located next to a player’s name or click the Report tab at the top of the menu.
- Complete the form.
Reporting on the website or mobile app:
- Every player-created asset has a Report Abuse link that will send a report to Roblox’s moderation system. In most cases this will be found in the bottom of the description box in red lettering or under the “…” menu in the upper right.
- Complete the form.
Parental controls. Roblox automatically sets more restricted controls for users 12 and under. Chat is also more strictly filtered for these users. (Parents can choose to disable chat or messaging altogether. Go to the Privacy tab in Account Settings and select Account Restrictions.) All accounts have the option to enable 2-factor authentication and an “Account PIN,” which, when active, requires a 4-digit code to make changes to settings. Parents can use these features for very young or new players, but, for most families, the goal should be to help your child make responsible decisions without relying on the extensive use of parental controls.
Passwords and other personal information. Starting at an early age, talk with your kids about the importance of keeping passwords and other personal information private – even from friends. Help your child get into the habit of creating unique passwords with a combination of numbers, letters, and special characters, and updating all passwords regularly. More on this at ConnectSafely.org/passwords.
Predatory behavior. Although quite rare, there are some adults who try to use online services to prey on children. Talk to your child about online grooming, including what it is and what to watch out for, such as inappropriate or overly personal questions or unsolicited gifts (such as Robux). People with bad intentions may encourage children to “meet” with them on other, less moderated social platforms. Discuss this with your child and ask them to come to you with any strange requests from other players. While parents worry most about inappropriate contact with adults, children can also be bothered, solicited and harassed by peers.
Bullying. Unfortunately bullying can and does happen on Roblox, despite Roblox’s tools to block bullying text language whenever possible. Again, talk to your child about what to watch out for and teach them how to block and report offenders. For more advice, see ConnectSafely’s A Parent’s Guide to Cyberbullying.
Roblox’s Social Features
You can restrict your child from chatting and messaging with others on Roblox. Whatever settings you choose, we recommend discussing your decision with your child. If you limit Roblox’s social features, consider revisiting these restrictions as your child grows and matures.
- Log into the account.
- Go to Account Settings by clicking on the gear icon.
- Select Privacy.
- Review the options under Contact Settings and Other Settings. Select No one or Friends or enable Account Restrictions (players age 13 and older have additional options).
Closing Thoughts for Parents
It may seem like just yesterday when your child was learning how to play Candy Land. How simple that game seems now! But you don’t have to be an expert to help your child stay safe on and enjoy Roblox or any other online game. Even if you think your child is more tech savvy than you, you’re still the parent and have a lot of experience and wisdom that applies to most aspects of your child’s life, including the use of technology.
In fact, the “rules” for using any game, app or service are pretty similar. Everyone should be respectful of themselves and others, be mindful of what they post, and understand how to use any privacy settings, security tools or blocking and reporting mechanisms.
We encourage you to try out Roblox with your kids, which will give you a feel for the platform and its privacy and security features. This also offers a great opportunity to help your child develop critical thinking skills so that no matter what service they use (online or off), they think about what they’re doing, take actions to protect their privacy, safety, security and reputation, and keep an eye out for scams and things that may not be what they seem. And since your child may be (or will soon be) more of a Roblox expert than you, it will give them a chance to be the teacher, and you the student, which can be a great role reversal.
Your kids may also be more likely to talk to you about their experiences—both good and bad—if they feel you have some knowledge, and even appreciation for, their favorite online games and services. As your child grows and matures it’s important to keep the lines of communication as open as possible and to have ongoing conversations about what’s appropriate for them in terms of privacy settings, time spent online, and the types of activities they’re engaging in. It generally works better to talk with your kids about their favorite apps and services—with genuine interest, not fear—because they’re more likely to come to you when they need help, and you’re much more likely to be kept in the loop about the technology that they use.
Top 5 Questions from Parents
1. What is Roblox?
Roblox is an online platform where anyone can create and share games. There are literally millions of user-generated 3D games on Roblox. Most games are free to play, while others cost “Robux,” the online currency that players use to buy games and items such as clothes or accessories. Parents should know that most Roblox games include social features, like in-game chat and filtered messaging.
2. Why do kids love Roblox?
Roblox has millions of games that have been created by talented people from all over the world. Kids can play and interact with real-life friends on virtual “play dates,” or play with people they only interact with on the platform.
3. How can I help my child stay safe on Roblox?
As with all online social experiences, everyone should be respectful of themselves and others, be mindful of what they post, and understand how to use any privacy settings, security tools, or blocking and reporting features. Roblox also provides parents with tools to restrict certain activities, like chat, within the platform, and to monitor their child’s account activity.
4. Should my child play Roblox with people he or she doesn’t know?
There isn’t a single answer for every child or family. Roblox does give you a lot of control over who can interact with your child and how. You can choose who can message them, and who can chat with them.
5. How much screen time is best for my child?
This is a harder question to answer than it may seem. The American Academy of Pediatrics has recently revised its screen time recommendations and no longer recommends arbitrary limits. Of course, no online activities should interfere with sleep, exercise, homework, or family time, and it’s best for children to have set-times when they are allowed to “play” online. And just as with soccer or any other type of games, it’s best for children to know when they can and can’t play rather than being arbitrarily kicked off by their parents without notice.
Can privacy settings alone keep them safe? Mum Amber Petersen learned the answer the hard way.
Petersen’s 7-year-old daughter Brooklyn loved to play Roblox on her iPad. But because the mother of two knew the world’s number-one 3-D gaming site for kids allowed users to interact with strangers - they are called “friends” in the game - she was careful to to do all the right things to protect her daughter.
Are privacy settings alone enough to keep them safe?
She read the developer’s website thoroughly, and was comforted to learn the game offered 24-hour moderation to block inappropriate content. She made the effort to set her daughter’s account to the highest level of privacy, blocking conversations and invitation. And she monitored Brooklyn's play, sitting right beside her while she was online.
So you can imagine Petersen’s shock when, one afternoon recently, she glanced at the screen and saw her daughter’s avatar being sexually assaulted by three other players.
Petersen took screenshots and posted them to her Facebook page with a warning to other parents - where it quickly went viral.
I’m struggling with where to begin here because I’m feeling quite traumatized and violated on so many levels."
The 35-year-old former teacher wrote, “Words cannot describe the shock, disgust, and guilt that I am feeling right now, but I’m trying to put those feelings aside so I can get this warning out to others as soon as possible…
"Although I was immediately able to shield my daughter from seeing the entire interaction, I am shuddering to think of what kind of damage this image could have on her psyche, as well as any other child that could potentially be exposed to this.”
The moral of the story is NOT that Roblox is evil. On the contrary, Petersen herself has nothing but praise for how the company handled the incident - tracking down the the perpetrator and permanently banning him from the site.
Parents need to know there are thousands of user-generated games within the Roblox universe, some of them with sexual, violent or horror-related themes.
“Slender Man,” for example, displays bloody operating tables, while “Hotline Roblox” is a game in which players murder one another with knives and guns. Meanwhile, YouTube features literally thousands of videos showing Roblox porn - cartoon nudity, graphic sex and gang rape featuring Roblox avatars.
Many of these are taken down within minutes by the game’s moderators.
Petersen has objected strenuously to media reporting that vilified the Roblox Corporation, which is currently valued at US$2.4 billion and claims 64 million monthly users - many but by no means all of them children.
She is urging mums and dads to take a closer look at their kids’ security settings, to remember that monitoring their online activity is essential - and to encourage them to read books, which, she points out, are 100% hack-proof.

Roblox roblox profile
If you play Roblox regularly, you might have come across players with symbols next to their names. This can often cause confusion. After all, it’s important for you to know exactly who’s in your game, and how to best spot them.
In this article, we will show you all the symbols a player can have next to their name, and how to easily recognize them.
Player List Icons
While playing a game, the Player List will list all the players that are currently in the game. This list can also include other information, such as what teams they’re on or their current score.
To enable or disable the player list, press on the Tab key.
Your Player List might look like this:
Some players will have a few unique symbols next to their names. The icons and their description are as follows:
– Roblox Admins
– The creator of the current game
– Premium members
– Any players that are your friends
– Players that have sent you a friend request
– Players that you are following, or who are following you
– Players who are YouTube celebrities, or a part of Roblox Video Stars Program
– Players with a graduation cap are currently interns for Roblox
Currently, there are a few players who have unique icons. This is due to them being a part of the Roblox staff. The list of these users and their icons feature below:
If you’re looking to get a unique icon for yourself, we suggest learning as much as you can about Roblox and becoming a member of their staff. Or you can become a YouTube celebrity! Otherwise, you could always go for a Premium subscription and have something to show off to other players.
Icons Outside of Game
While you’re outside of a game, a few icons will help you easily know what your friends are up to. These icons show up in a colored circle on their profile status:
– Indicates a user is online
– Indicates the user is currently developing their own game
– Indicates the user is playing a game
Offline users won’t have anything next to their profile.
What Is Roblox Premium
A Premium membership for Roblox grants you a monthly Robux allowance and gives you a 10% bonus when buying any additional Robux.
You’re also granted access to the trading and selling features, allowing you to earn more money from the games and items you make in-game!
As noted above, all Premium members will have the aforementioned icon displayed on the player list, so you can notice at a glance. If you want to have the icon yourself, the only way is to purchase Premium.
In-Game Friend Requests
While playing a game, you may find a player you want to befriend. If you want to add someone to your friends list, there’s no need to leave the game. Simply click on their name on the leaderboard and press “Send Friend Request”.
If you want to Follow or Unfollow someone, choose those options from the same menu. This way, you don’t have to stop playing the game in order to expand your social circle. That can be a real time-saver.
If another player decides to send you a friend request, a message will pop up in the bottom right of the screen. You can simply accept or reject it there, or click on their name on the player list later, and accept or decline from that menu.
Blocking or Reporting Players
If someone is harassing you or breaking game rules, you can block them or report them to the Roblox moderators inside the game as well. Simply click on their name in the player list and select the option you need.
If you’re unsure if someone is breaking the rules, you can check the Community Rules to make sure you’re up-to-date.
Icons for the Ages
Hopefully, this article has shed some light on some of the player icons you might experience in-game. Now you can tell at a glance who’s your friend, or who’s following you. Plus, you can immediately spot if a celebrity or a staff member is playing your game.
Which of these icons did you not know about? What unique icons do your friends have? Leave a comment in the section below and let us know.
