First impressions are everything to me and unfortunately, mine was not satisfactory. We have purchased vehicles from Honda of Princeton and haven’t been let down by the sales team. The service department has provided a lackluster and disappointing experience. I have been dealing with headlight issues with my 2017 Accord Touring since the date of purchase and am very aware of the warranty issue with the DRL Strip (10 year replacement due to manufacturing issues). I made my first contact with HOP and was told a department needed to verify my VIN for the replacement. 3 days later, I hadn’t heard anything back and I had to call the dealership again (they weren’t aware of my situation when I called). Once again on 9/21, I explained my issue and that I knew it was covered under warranty; replaced multiple times in the vehicles life. They seemed unfamiliar of the issue but assured me they would take care of it. On 9/30 (nine days later), I had my appointment and when I drove in, my service advisor was super friendly and attentive. Before I stated who I was and why I was there, he questioned if I was there for the warranty headlight replacement, seemingly knowing of the common issue. About 30 minutes later, he advised me that the dealership does not have the part and it was not ordered. As a customer, I should not have to make numerous calls, hold the dealership accountable, spend my time waiting at the dealer or manage their parts inventory. This is a common issue and should not warrant the need to “verify” the issue especially when it is tied to the VIN which was provided twice.

    I have used them for several years- routine service, brakes and a rattling noise that was time consuming to identify and very simple to fix. They have always provided great service- and have pleasant and professional manner.

  • As someone else said, the best car buying experience I have ever had . The sales people are so good and not driving you to buy anything . They are very patient , even during this crazy time of Chip shortage .. I asked to test drive a couple of cars , and they didn't even come or sit behind (which was the case with other dealers).  Quick negotiation and really quick delivery .. finance was also quick .. 5 stars to the whole team ... will surely refer to other friends ...

  • The service department feels almost like an outright scam when you bring your vehicle there for anything more than an oil change. Feels like they are always trying to upsell you on things that don't need replacing.

    I took my car here because the A/C was blowing warm air. While working on the car they noticed the gas cap was missing to which I told them I would obtain and replace that myself. I got a call that the AC evac and recharge was complete and the AC was working and all set to come pick up. When I went to pay I see that they had replaced the gas cap and charged me $67 for it. I didn't bother arguing for my money back, I just wanted to get my car.  But, on my way home the AC is still blowing warm air! So on top of being charged for something I told them NOT to do, they also told me my car was good to go without even CHECKING if they work they had done changed anything. My service advisor did not apologize once and instead went straight into trying to sell me on what else needed replacing to get it working. Lol...

    Eventually after reaching a very nice manager, Chris, we were able to get a refund for the gas cap and about half of the service charges, which is very reasonable seeing as they cant undo the work they did, and the only reason I'm leaving a 2 star review instead of 1. Thank you chris.

    From the other reviews it seems like their sales department is a lot better, so if you're buying a car I'm sure this is a fine place to go. The service department however, I would avoid like the plague unless you're just getting an oil change. At the very least, get a quote elsewhere first, you might be surprised.

  • Best car buying experience ever. Jordan and the entire sales department, including the manager and finance manager are very kind, friendly and professional. I tip my hat to everyone in this dealer. I have bought many cars over the years but this particular dealer has taken the bad taste out my mouth. Didn't even have to wait an entire day to drive my new car home. Should've been done in roughly 2 hours but hit a hiccup along the way since I didn't have paperwork of my paid off last vehicle, nonetheless the manager did not mind taking verbal confirmation from my last lender rather than making me drive home. Still wasn't too long of a wait. I would definitely be returning to this location. I drove home with my 2021 Honda Accord sport, with only 8 miles.

  • Was interested in a high-end used car at the dealership. The salesperson rarely was able to answer some simple and direct questions about the car. It was not a Honda and when I asked whether the mileage could be verified, I Iearned that the car was being driven by the GM. It appears that the GM doesn't want to drive one of the dozens of used Hondas likely available to him. It's odd that he'd rather be seen in a sportier more attractive marque than the run-of-the-mill Hondas he supposedly is being paid to sell. Not to mention racking up the mileage and wear and tear on the high-end car...making it less attractive to me.
    Red flags to me for sure. Looking elsewhere.

  • I have had nothing short of a pleasant time purchasing my first car through Honda of Princeton. It is clearly a trying time with all of the Covid events. The entire staff at Honda were taking precautions with masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. The entire process was so easy and the Memorial Day sales were more than I could have ever asked for. Michael, Barry, and Jarred made this process that I was dreading so incredibly pleasant. I now have a beautiful vehicle and even though I live a bit further will be coming back to get my car serviced due to the professionalism.

    If you are considering leasing or purchasing, I hope you stop by Honda of Princeton.

  • I read all the negative reviews and was very apprehensive stepping into this dealership because of it.  Not necessarily a bad thing because you should always have your guard up when buying something as significant as a new car.

    Must say that I did not experience any of the challenges/difficulties that others have when doing business with Honda of Princeton.

    This past Saturday we bought a 2021 Pilot EX-L.  We had already been to a few dealers, but my wife had a good initial experience with Jordan M, our sales associate, about 1.5-2 years ago so gave her our business.  Jordan proved to be extremely knowledgable on all of the features of the 2021 Pilot.... gave us as much detail on this as we could absorb while not being "pushy", and really hand held us well during this process.  Because of the negative reviews, I was a bit guarded in the conversations as they turned toward deal specifics...Jordan was highly professional, took it all in stride, and was a pleasure to do business with.

    We also went efficiently through the contract phase with Imran, the business manager.  While he did try to cross sell a lot of post contract type services.... that's part of the business that you just have to be aware of going in.  Imran was totally professional in the negotiations as well.

    In sum, we got the price, car, deal that we wanted and would happily refer others to buy a car from this dealer.  

    I think all savvy buyers should read up on reviews to go into these places eyes wide open.  Although I'm happy to report that none of the negatives encountered by others was experienced by us

  • Horrible service,  scheduled appointment for service,  canceled 2 x, because they say it's a service that didn't require an appointment. Free oil changes with auto purchase, bull shit,  only if idiot light is on.  Very rude,  willl not go there again, never purchase a car,  very nice at sales,  but service sucks

  • Count your fingers when you leave this dealership. They charge above and beyond the list price and get mad when you question them. I'm surprised Honda allows them to keep their dealarship

  • Every time I come here I feel they're selling something even though you're visiting for service. I visited the owners site which recommended service for my car but when you arrived here they tell you something else and the cost go up so they're upselling every time I visit which you feel pressured.

  • This dealership is really hit-or-miss, but more sketchy than anything. I did purchase my vehicle here, but there are some things to note.

    1. Miguel, my salesman, is courteous and professional. However, he is difficult to get in contact with.

    2. With a "clean" CarFax, my "Certified" vehicle was indeed damaged. Dented fender, severely scratched bumpers (front & rear). The dealer initially did not fess up to it, but eventually did and repaired the damages. However, this makes me question the entire process of getting a CPO vehicle. How did a technician miss all the damage? Perhaps because the CPO process is a joke and an easy way to markup the vehicle price?

    I do, however, genuinely appreciate the dealer repairing the damage on the vehicle. The repairs are 85% satisfactory (but, don't think I didn't notice the new headlight crack and dried paint drips!).

    3. You cannot pay cash here. They have a deal with Chase that benefits them the more customers they sign up for loans. They will sign you up for a 5 year loan, but have you pay on a 5 month schedule. Any interest accrued is supposedly reimbursed to you, but you are not told there is an interest reimbursement cap. At 4.9% interest, you will quickly have to pay more for your car. Even after the loan shows up in your account, it's already accrued 10+ days of interest.

    4. Don't believe the window sticker. Mine said that on top of the extended CPO warranty, I would receive 2 complimentary oil changes. The General Manager said "No, that's for something else". But, he reluctantly said he would give it to me, anyway (since I just showed the sticker to him directly). We'll see if it was even added to my account and service records when I get my oil change.

    5. I love the vehicle I purchased. However, I sincerely believe I got gypped at this dealership. There is just something off with it. Everyone is 'nice enough', but there is a strange quality of secretiveness when you enter.
